A Road Map for Disability Support in Higher Education in Ireland:
Over the course of 2017-2019, the Association for Higher Education Access and Disability (AHEAD), in collaboration with the Disability Advisers Working Network (DAWN), produced a series of outputs to lay out a vision for inclusive education in higher education, to clearly define the role of the Disability Officer in Irish higher Education Institutions, to explore standards in the provision of reasonable accommodations and to create an online professional development programme aimed at training staff in support this vision and standardising the services provided across all HEIs. This work resulted in the production of 3 documents, the collation of a host of resources and an online programme (currently being developed and expected to launch late 2019).
