Learn to Cycle Cork:

Cork Sports Partnership’s Learn To Cycle programme aims to assist participants to learn to cycle independently in a fun & safe enviroment.

Registrations are currently being taken for the next Learn To Cycle Programme which will begin on Monday 28th September in Gaelscoil Bheanntrai, BantryThis programme is being delivered in conjunction with CoAction West Cork. 

Programme Details: 

  • 6 Week Programme (Each session will be 45 minutes in duration).
  • Delivered by Cycling Ireland Qualified Instructor with experience of working with children and teens with a disability. 
  • 6 years of age & over.
  • 5-6 participants per group maximum. HSE Guidelines and Social distancing requirements in place. 
  • Parents/guardians must be present during each session and take an active role. 
  • Bikes are provided for the programme or particpiants are welcome to bring their own bikes.

  • NEW Start Date: Tuesday 13th Oct 
    • Venue: Midleton Educate Together, N.S 
    • 6 Week Programme (Tuesday 13th, 20th, 27th Oct, 3rd, 10th, 17th November)
  • Session 1: 4:00pm-4:45pm 
  • Session 2: 5:00pm-5:45pm 
  • Registration Fee €40 (€10 reduction has now been provided per particpant from the Department of Transport)

Health & Safety in line with Covid 19:

  • Registration: Each participant is required to complete a health check which is included in the registration process. These questions are required for health screening so that each participant is safe to participate and for the purpose of Covid 19 contact tracing. 
  • Programme Layout: Each participant will be assigned their own designated zone. Each zone will be colour coded and coned in line with HSE guidelines of 2 metres physical distancing. 
  • Equipment: Bikes will be sanitized and disinfected prior to the programme commencement and between sessions. All participants will be asked to bring hand sanitizer and it will also be provided to use before and at the end of the session.
