Blackberry Hearing

Blackberry Hearing was established in 2015 by Dave Gleeson & John Ryan because they identified gaps in the Irish hearing aid market. They had had problems getting hearing aids for their own parents and discovered the process was slow, clunky and the price was unclear and generally very high. Conducting more research into the industry, and having spoken with suppliers, they discovered that hearing aid pricing in Ireland was extremely and unnecessarily expensive. So, they went about changing that!

Fast forward 5 years later and Blackberry Hearing has grown to be the largest Irish-owned provider of hearing aids in the country. The company has a dedicated team of 20 people including 8 qualified audiologists (BSc and MSc qualified) operating nationwide. In addition to making quality hearing aids more affordable, Blackberry Hearing is devoted to offering excellent customer care. Each audiologist and each member of staff focus on every customer to ensure they get the best possible, tailored hearing solution for their needs.

The business has been built on word of mouth, customer by customer. Hundreds of customer comments may be viewed on the Testimonials PageYouTube Channel. and Google Reviews, (For example, Blackberry Hearing is the only Irish provider of hearing aids and hearing solutions to achieve a 5-Star Google review rating from its customers, 130 reviews so far).

Blackberry Hearing’s ethos is transparency and simplicity. Matthew Gleeson, General Manager, comments “We offer amazing technology at great prices with our renowned customer care. We do not own retail shops on the high-street and we don’t advertise on TV or in National Newspapers; this allows us to offer you, our customers, really great hearing solutions at really great prices”.

We offer a 45-day money-back guarantee: if you don’t notice the improvements from our hearing aids by then, simply return them to your audiologist for a full refund. That’s it. We have a passion for improving our customers’ quality of life and bringing people back to the conversation.
