Services we Provide:

Connect is a hub for the community, allowing people of many abilities to interact and grow together. Some of the many services we provide are in the areas of finding jobs, personal growth and community integration.

We have a drop-in centre where people can mix and discuss issues important to them. Connect uses a holistic approach by gathering as much information from each individual as possible so as to enable us to provide a service tailor-made to that individual’s needs.

What is Supported Employment?

Supported employment aims to support people with varying abilities to obtain and maintain work in the open labour market. Support is provided throughout the process to employees, employers and to co-workers.

How does it work?

With the support of a trained member of staff from Connect (Job-coach), each individual chooses the type of work most suited to his/her skills. The individual then has the option to participate in three seperate lots of work experience to learn new skills and gain knowledge about different types of work.

Support is then provided to source and apply for suitable work. If required, on-the-job training is provided by the Job-coach.

Once the person is fully trained, the Job-coach remains in the background to provide any support that may be required.
